An evening with Osmel Gonzalez from EntreNos Miami
Meet Osmel Gonzalez, chef at Entrenos. Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, Osmel relocated to Miami at 22. After exploring various jobs, he discovered his passion for cooking while working in the kitchen of Matador Room by Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
In 2018, Osmel embarked on an apprenticeship in Spain, training at Disfrutar in Barcelona and La Botica in Matapozuelos. Following his time in Spain, he moved to California and joined Singlethread, where we met and connected over gastronomy, connected to the land and raising a family.
At Singlethread, Osmel had the opportunity to work with some of the world’s top chefs, including Jorge Vallejo (Quintonil), William Bradley (Addison), Val M Cantu (Californios), Shinobu Namae (L’Effervescence), and Junghyun Park (Atomix). He also completed stages at esteemed restaurants like Harbor House, Den, and Kikunoi.
After his global culinary journey, Osmel returned to Miami to take on the role of Chef de Cuisine at Ariete, where he met Evan Burgess. Together, they launched EntreNos in July of 2023.
